So, I have always been curious about waist trainers. I've lost 130 lbs, and my figure is far from perfect. I have a lot of loose skin. I know that items like this generally give temporary results or just make you look more snatched when wearing it.This isn't uncomfortable by any means. If you put it on at a reasonable tightness, it feels snug and supportive. The velcro is substantial and secure. Bending over to do anything is a challenge, though, as this has some serious boning.Rather than shapewear, I actually think this will serve me better as back support when I'm walking on the treadmill for a long time, or if I need to do something where I'll be standing for a long time.I weigh between 155-160 lbs, stand 5' 7" tall, with a 39" bust, 33" waist, and 42" hips. I ordered an x-large.
Overall, I am fairly happy with this waist trainer. For size reference...I am 5'3', approx 150 lbs, 30" waist, 39" hip and have a 36DDD chest. I ordered a L based on the size chart and the fit is spot on. It sits just under my bust line and right at my hip. I do think this is a better option for back support or waist training at home/the gym vs shapewear to snatch your waist when going out. For starters, when cinched tight it created a bit of bulge at the underarm and around the back which wasn't super attractive. I also think there is a bit too much bulk in the front from the velcro closures that doesn't allow for a smooth silhouette. I also wasn't a huge fan of how this felt directly on my skin and my tummy sometimes tries to squish through the gap in the bottom layers so I was much more comfortable with a tank layered underneath. Having said all that this baby offers incredible support and structure. It can be a little daunting to try and get on but I love that the different layers allow you to customize your level of compression and find a fit that is comfortable for you. It seems really well made and I think the price point is very fair.
Having rheumatoid arthritis I need some extra help with posture and my back especially since I am active and working out after getting my inflammation markers on track. I found this and ordered it in an xl. I am 5’10” on good days and 200lbs and i find this works quite well, I wear a tank top and then add this and whatever else. It takes a bit to get used to and having to ask my s/o to tighten it how I like it but I enjoy it quite a bit. The material is good and holds things in as well as supporting the spine. I find myself sitting better and breathing better with this and after awhile I remove it and hang it up to dry out so to speak. I do not get very sweaty but know airing this out would be beneficial. It overall is a good size and fit.
I got this for abdominal support after having diastasis recti repair. It makes your abdomen feel very snug and secure, as well as bringing your waist in to the most snatched hourglass you’ve ever experienced. I’m serious, my husband was in shock at how tiny it cinched my waist. On top of good support, it’s quality made, really sturdy and can be hidden under your clothes so you look great without looking weird. I’d definitely recommend this and would get it again.
This is a nice quality waist trainer. Definitely snatches in that waist and it's super hard to put on. The multiple velcro pieces really helps give that illusion of an hourglass figure. If you wear it a lot it can definitely help make your waist look better. Definitely makes you sweat while working out. I'm 195 lbs 5'4 and the x-large fits perfect. Definitely gives your waist a great shape. So you can wear it under your clothes. The velcro also makes it very adjustable. Great waist trainer!
